Pastoral Council
The Pastoral Council is the chief instrument through which the clergy,
staff and lay members of the parish community cooperate with the Holy
Spirit in fulfilling our mission.
Elected Council members are chosen in the spring. Some members are
appointed by the Pastor. Council members coordinate all parish
ministries and organizations.
Since Holy Spirit is a Stewardship parish, the Pastoral Council helps
coordinate the gifts of time and talent of our generous parishioners.
Finance Council
The Parish Finance Council advises and assists the Pastor in
administering the financial affairs and the physical plant management of
the parish. Members of the Council, all appointed by the pastor, are
involved in the preparation of the annual budget and any in necessary
fund-raising efforts, including the Bishop's Appeal. They oversee both
the maintenance of the parish plant and the planning of capital
improvements. In addition to its regular offertory collection, Holy
Spirit receives contributions to its Building and Renovation Fund.
These areas of giving allow our parishioners to live our stewardship of
treasure.
