Holy Spirit Micro-Soccer Program and
1st-4th grade Soccer


Our program emphasizes fundamentals, building on the player's existing skills, and HAVING FUN! Coaches will be on the fields with their teams during the games and will make sure that everybody plays.
WE DO NOT KEEP SCORE.EVERYBODY LEARNS,EVERYBODY PLAYS, EVERYBODY WINS!

  • Micro Soccer games are played with 2 co-ed teams of three children on the field and no goalie.
  • Children range in age from 4-6 years old (players should turn age 4 before March 1, 2008 and not turn age 7 before September 1, 2008.)
  • All games and practices are held at Holy Spirit Church.
  • Games are played on Saturday mornings .
  • Games are scheduled to begin March 29 and the season wraps up with an optional parent/child game on May 10, 2007


1st - 4th grade teams will play in the ESCRA soccer league against other churches. This league is geared for those children wanting more competition and skill building but still a fun league.
  • Games are played at Holy Spirit and other area churches.
  • The season runs from March through May.

  • There will be boys teams and girls teams.
  • 1st and 2nd grade - there are 6 players on the field - cannot be 9 years old before August 1, 2008
  • 3rd and 4th grade - there are 9 players on the field - cannot be 11 years old before August 1, 2008

(no experience necessary!)
  • We need 2 coaches per team.
  • Please volunteer to help coach your child's team by checking the appropriate line on the registration form.
FEES:
  • MICRO SOCCER $45.00 fee per player, which includes a trophy and team photo.
  • 1st - 4th grade SOCCER- $55.00 per player, which includes league fee, trophy and team photo.

UNIFORMS:
  • The complete uniform costs an additional $20.00
  • Individual components of the uniform may be ordered if you already have part of it (see registration form).
  • Checks should be made payable to HOLY SPIRIT CHURCH.
  • All players need to wear shin guards and tennis shoes or soccer cleats to practices and games.
  • Players will need a soccer ball for practices.
  • Each player should have a water bottle and at least one parent (or designated adult) in attendance during practices and games.
