Parishioners assist in preparation for liturgies for Sunday Mass, daily Mass and on Holy Days. In addition to Sacristan duties, they ensure a sufficient number of Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion and Ushers, as well as the presence of Lectors and Altar Servers. This important role requires an apprenticeship with experienced Mass Coordinators. Training for Sacristan duties is provided through the Diocesan Institute for Liturgy and Spirituality.
