Working with Catholic Charities Refugee Services, this ministry holds Camp Friendship, an annual week-long day camp in early summer at Holy Spirit to promote cultural awareness. We train Memphis area youth to be one-on-one mentors for the refugee children, creating a learning experience for our youth (8th grade and above) as well as for the refugees. The ministry also provides periodic help to refugees as needed, such as providing food for refugees from Rwanda until their food stamps were approved, and providing household items.
